What a great experience AK was. Thank you for all your guiding. I feel that now I know AK better than most tourists now.

Alaska Backcountry Access guides and outfitters offers a wide variety of adventure activities throughout Alaska.

Girdwood is our hometown nestled in the Chugach Mountains with stunning glacial scenery, fantastic trails, outstanding accommodation and nearby lakes and rivers.  It is home to world class Alyeska Resort.

Our activities are developed to offer you, your family and corporate group adventure in pristine settings with top quality gear.

Summer activities include creek rafting, historic gold mining, kayaking, jet boating, freshwater fishing, glacier ski touring, hiking, wildlife viewing and camping.

Winter activities include cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, wildlife viewing, snowmobiling, kayaking, gold panning and sled dog mushing.

We combine several activities into each adventure using our ten years of local guiding experience.  All activities are unique to our operation.

The Twentymile (or 20 Mile) river system is our specialty.  This area is known for its remote and wild qualities.

Join us in Alaska's Chugach Range, Prince William Sound and Kenai Peninsula for spectacular glacial scenery and world class adventure.
