BLUE ICE RIDE -- WILDERNESS JETBOAT TOUR

This exhilarating jet boat ride is truly Alaskan and highlights wilderness areas of the Chugach National Forest. Our highly maneuverable and shallow draft jet boats allow our skilled captains access to the remote Twentymile River Valley near Portage, Alaska.  The Twentymile River flows from snowfields high above Prince William Sound through stunning lakes to Turnagain Arm.

Jet boat upriver past marshy banks, beaver lodges, mountains and braided river sections to see glaciers, eagles and waterfalls. Carmen Lake is an ultimate up-river destination where we go ashore for a short hike and photos.  Depending on water conditions we challenge the Glacier Fork to Twentymile Lake which floats sparkling blue icebergs calved from the glacier’s dramatic face. Hold on tight for the trilling return trip through boulder gardens, twists and turns, and log jams.

This trip is unmatched in Alaska and perhaps the world.
