Sourdough Circuit

Combine gold panning at historic Crow Creek Gold Mine, class II-III whitewater rafting on Glacier Creek, optional cable hand tram and rainforest hiking on the Iditarod Trail into a one of a kind Alaskan adventure! Girdwood's Glacier City was settled by gold miners who struck it rich along the Iditarod Trail in the Four Corners area of Crow, Winner and Glacier Creeks. Pan for guaranteed gold at Crow Creek Mine and see where gold miners have lived and worked since 1896. Hike a mile down the Iditarod and Winner Creek Trails traversing the Northernmost rainforest to the cable-hand-tram crossing Glacier Creek. Gear up for rafting in drysuits, wetsuit booties, vests and helmets for your exciting whitewater trip with Alaskan glacier views. Whitewater rafting through Glacier Creek Gorge has fast turns and non-stop class II-III action suitable for most paddlers (experienced or not).  Stop at waterfalls along the way and raft back to the start in the New Girdwood Townsite not far from the Hotel Alyeska. This adventure highlights the best of Alaska in an active and eco-friendly loop.
